If you are using Internet Explorer 6 to view the new Invasive Species Council website we regret to say you will have a number of screen drawing issues.
As a small environment group with limited funds we have decided for now that it's better to put our scarce resources into campaign issues rather than the extra costs associated with making our new website backwards compatible with a website browser that is fast being phased out around the world.
However, we realise that this may cause problems for some of our supporters and are working through the issue with our website developer.
We are not alone, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Google are all urging IE6 users to upgrade or switch browsers.
"We will be phasing out support for your browser soon. Please upgrade to one of these more modern browsers," says a prominent message on YouTube.
Released in 2001, Internet Explorer 6 has long since been superseded by new versions of IE and other, safer, more efficient web browsers.
To get the best out of your browsing experience we urge you to upgrade your web browser. We have provided links for some of the more popular browsers below:
Microsoft Explorer
Mozilla Firefox
Google Chrome
Apple Safari
We sincerely apologise for this problem.
