The Argentine Ant is one of the most widespread and invasive ant species in the world. Listed in the ‘top 100 world’s worst invaders’ by the IUCN Invasive Species Specialist Group, it has been found in New South Wales, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia.
